May Yard

The arbor has some pretty Carolina Jasmine and some sort of Trumpet Vine. I whacked it all totally back this past winter.
I bought a few new fish for the pond, after we noticed that only one of our fish survived the winter. Since then, we discovered that the marsh birds like to eat the fish in our pond... I planted this bottle brush bush last month.
There is some sort of pretty water Iris in the pond (left)

Does anyone know what this neat bush/tree is on the right? I have never seen blossoms like that on a bush before.

I dug this Clematis up when we put our old house on the market and relocated it here. It has really pretty flowers, but I need to work on the climbing structure -- it needs some strings or something.
Left, pretty hydrangea from Costco. Right, the Loquat tree has lots of green fruit.
What can I say, I just *love* this Pomegranite tree. It is very tall -- taller than the swingset. I need to read up on how to get more blossoms, although it has a nice smattering this year.
This bush (right) looks like a scraggley thing most of the winter. Maybe I will whack it back next winter.
