| Our friend, Marit, came out over the
weekend to "pull" (shorten and thin) Maddie's mane. For a horse to be
quite proper in the hunter show ring, the mane must lay on the right side
of the neck (Maddie's goes completely on the wrong side!) and be about 4"
long and even for braiding into tidy little plaits. |

| It was a very big job and Marit decided to
stop before finishing as Maddie was quite displeased with the process. As
much as we told the filly how beautiful she would look, she didn't seem to
believe us! |
