Our friend, Stephanie, came to our barn
and went on a trail ride with me, then pulled Maddie's mane into a sleek
new look. Maddie was very well behaved this time around and I was quite
pleased with her.
The next weekend, John came down from Pennsylvania and
he, Mark and I took Maddie and Wings to Frying Pan Park again to use the
wonderful facilities there and ride with some friends. Mark rode Maddie in
the ring but she decided to be a naughty filly and gave him some trouble
and he wisely opted to switch mounts with me. I soon put an end to her
antics and rather spoiled her fun. She soon settled down and went out onto
the cross country course with John on Wings and another friend, Therese,
up on Maddie.
We had a wonderful time and Maddie was very good about going
in both water hazards as well as nicely jumping some of the smaller
obstacles. She was a very tired girl when we came back to our barn! |
