It's cicada season here in
Virginia and the woods everywhere are filled with the noisy critters.
Fortunately, they don't seem to bother the horses and will soon be gone.
We took Maddie and Wings to Frying Pan once again and had a great time.
Our friends are so nice (and such good riders).
Trixie rode both Maddie and Wings and they learned so much! Maddie
cantered in the ring for the first time and went over small jumps like a
pro.
Both horses enjoyed the water obstacle. A bit too much as they refused to
come back out! I ended up getting hold of Maddie's rein and leading her to
dry land.
Before the day was over, Maddie was boldly jumping on the cross country
course. |
