| Boy did we have a lot of fun in October!
We went for many trail rides and did quite a bit of exploring so we now
have miles of new places to ride. Autumn around here is a very enjoyable
time to ride and we made the most of it with multiple trips to Frying Pan
Park to use the rings and Cross Country course. |

| Maddie was ridden by quite a few people
this month, our friends, Sarah and Andie, my husband, son and myself.
Maddie is definitely NOT going to be a one person horse. She has been in
and out of creeks and muddy spots, crossed roads busy with traffic and up
and down long, steep hills. Barking dogs and people busy with lawn
equipment in their yards haven't phased her. Small herds of deer popping
up along the trail are becoming old hat as well. The most fun of all has
been letting her learn on the obstacles at Frying Pan. Maddie has let her
brother, Wings, know that "Anyone can jump banks" |

| Leaves are falling and the corn stalks
rattle in the autumn breeze. Horses are on hair trigger and ready to
prance and dance, whirl and spin at perceived threats. Spying cows and
sheep in a field had Maddie quivering. We spent most of the day on
Halloween at the park and came home with happy but tired horses. :) |
