The McKee Court Sinkhole

Things started innocently enough when we took Chopper out for a walk and noticed a lot of water on the street. Our neighbor's water line burst at the meter and ran overnight. A week or two later a pothole formed in the street where the flooding occurred, and the city came out and patched it.

A few hot weeks later the pothole returned, and the road around it started sinking. We took a look inside and discovered it could be a lot of fun for six-inch tall spelunkers. Eventually the city came back and dug up half the cul-de-sac to fill everything in. They also cut the Knology cable, forcing them to install a new box two doors down. For now there's a cable running along the street.
